Our Faith Formation process has been designed for all parishioners from school age to those of the third age.
Our Faith formation sessions not only form parishioner's understanding about Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church; they also lead parishioners to develop a personal relationship with the risen Christ. The sessions prepare parishioners to celebrate their relationship with Christ through celebrating of the sacraments; Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist as well as Reconciliation. The sessions also help catechize and guide our parishioners in understanding and expression of our Catholic life and living out our Baptismal promises.
My name is Jillian Guidry, I am the Director of Religious Education here at Our Lady of La Salette, in Canton Georgia. I am the proud mother of 3 and a grandmother to 3 busy grandsons. I was raised here in the south as a Baptist deacon’s daughter and the oldest of 11 children. I fell in love with the Catholic Church soon after meeting my husband and attending Mass alongside him. I was welcomed into Full Communion a few years later and I am now a very proud convert!
I have always had a passion for children and teaching. Before working for the church, I was a teacher in Forsyth County. There is nothing I enjoy more than watching the “light bulbs” go off in the minds of a room of youth as they learn something new. I am thankful and very blessed for all the times our Lord steered me back on course when I would wander astray.
There is no doubt in my mind that our Lord, the Good Shepherd, has a plan for each of us. He is always there with open arms ready to meet us where we are. All we have to do is welcome Him in.
